Poster presentations by high school students at the 27th Annual Meeting of Society of Evolutionary Studies, Japan in Shiga Prefecture

Auspicious day of June 2025

Society of Evolutionary Studies, Japan  holds symposiums, workshops, oral presentations, and poster presentations at its annual convention, and also hosts a poster presentation session for high school students to foster young researchers who will lead Japan's research in the future. This year's 27th convention will be held at Nagahama Bio-Science University in Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture from August 20th, and the 19th Junior Evolutionary Studies for Everyone will be held on August 22nd. Nagahama City in northern Shiga Prefecture is a beautiful region where nature, history, and culture coexist in harmony. It is a fitting location for an academic conference on biological evolution, and will be a great opportunity to deepen your learning while also experiencing the charm of the region.

The main theme of this year's conference is "Unraveling biological evolution from various perspectives: genome, phenotype, and ecology," and the conference will be held over four days. The conference, which starts on the 20th, is scheduled to feature a keynote speech on evolution, development, and ecology, as well as 10 symposiums, general lectures, and poster presentations. In addition, on the final day, the 23rd, a free public lecture will be held, "Evolution, diversity, and history of Asian animals as seen from DNA."

We would be grateful if you could take this opportunity to consider presenting a poster at the 27th Annual Meeting of Society of Evolutionary Studies, Japan under the guidance of a teacher in charge of biology, etc. Please see the attached document for details. We look forward to your cooperation.
